Kinkell Farm, St Andrews

Sunday November 6th 2022. In partnership with Footprint East Neuk and Kinkell Byre.

This involved planting a new hedgerow along the margin of a field, using a mix of native species including hawthorn, blackthorn, elder and hazel.

A large group of people are planting a new hedge along side a stone wall.

Cambo Gardens, Kingsbarns

Saturday 19th November 2022. In partnership with Cambo Estate.

Creating two additional areas of native woodland, and adding understory planting to an existing area. These will form part of the Queen’s Green Canopy. Species included: dog rose, dogwood, downy birch, crab apple, hazel, holly, goat willow, grey willow, and rowan.

Followed by refreshments and a tour of Cambo house.

At the end of an afternoon a group of 10 people stand with spades amidst the new knee-high trees they have planted.
